These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ncthoracic.org website and job board operated by the North Carolina Thoracic Society ("NCTS"). By using this site or submitting a job posting, you agree to these Terms.
1. Job Posting Service
Fees
Job postings are available for a one-time fee of $199 per posting. This fee covers a 60-day listing on the NCTS job board, distribution to the NCTS member mailing list, and inclusion in NCTS social media announcements.
Approval Process
All job postings are reviewed by NCTS before publication. We reserve the right to approve, reject, or request modifications to any submission. Postings that do not meet our content standards (see Section 3) will not be published. You will be notified by email within 3 business days of submission.
No Refunds After Publication
Once a job posting has been reviewed, approved, and published on the site, the $199 fee is non-refundable. If your posting is rejected before publication, you will receive a full refund.
Posting Duration
Listings remain active for 60 days from the date of publication. After 60 days, the listing is automatically removed. Renewals are available at the standard fee.
2. Eligibility
Job postings must be for legitimate employment opportunities at organizations operating in or related to pulmonary medicine, critical care, sleep medicine, or thoracic surgery. NCTS reserves the right to limit postings to positions relevant to its membership community.
3. Content Standards
By submitting a job posting, you represent and warrant that:
- The position is a real, currently open employment opportunity
- All job details (title, compensation range, location, requirements) are accurate
- The posting does not contain spam, misleading information, or discriminatory language
- You are authorized to post on behalf of the hiring organization
- The posting complies with all applicable employment laws
NCTS may remove any posting at any time that we determine violates these standards, without refund.
4. User Accounts
Submitting a job posting requires signing in with a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity associated with it.
5. Intellectual Property
By submitting a job posting, you grant NCTS a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote the posting content in connection with the NCTS job board and member communications for the duration of the listing.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The NCTS job board is provided "as is." NCTS makes no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that job postings will generate applications. NCTS does not endorse or vet any hiring organization beyond reviewing submitted content for compliance with these Terms.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NCTS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the job board, including failed hires or posting errors. NCTS's total liability for any claim related to a job posting shall not exceed the fee paid for that posting.
8. Changes to These Terms
NCTS may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
